Prospective Students

Pre Enrolment & Taster Tasks

Each subject has created a taster task which has been designed to give you a brief insight into the subject areas studied post 16, we hope you are able to use these in the upcoming weeks to support your choices when you enrol with us. Prior to starting your studies with us in September you will need to complete the Pre Enrolment Tasks for the subjects you have chosen and you need to bring these completed tasks with you during the first week of lessons.

Your enrolment appointment should last approximately one hour but please do bear with us if queues form. During this time, you will meet with a member of our administration team to check your personal details; you will have your photograph taken for your student ID card; you will meet with a more senior colleague to finalise your subject choices and you will receive your IT log in details.

We will have colleagues on site who can answer questions about student bursaries and any queries regarding your next steps, whether that be higher education, an apprenticeship or employment. We have also invited the bus companies into school who may be able to support you with travel queries.

These discussions will take various factors into consideration, including your level of academic success at Key Stage 4, as well as the availability of your chosen courses.

Please ensure you complete the pre-enrolment task for each of the subjects you intend to study with us at Durham Sixth Form Centre before starting with us in September. Further details can be found here.
